Police Department
The East Newark Police Department, currently under the direction of Chief Anthony Monteiro is a 9 member department that provides services to the approximately 2400 residents in the Borough of East Newark.  The East Newark Police Department is comprised of multi-lingual members, capable of serving the Borough's residents.

It is a priority of the East Newark Police Department to protect and service the residents of the Borough.  The Department focuses on encouraging open lines of communication between the Police and the residents in order to maintain the expected quality of life for all residents.
The Borough and its residents are protected via 24 hour surveillance.

Through a proactive approach, the Borough of East Newark has one of the lowest crime rates in Hudson County.
The East Newark Police Department serves each and every resident with respect and understands the sensitivity, confidentiality and the importance of each individuals needs.

Police Reports
Police reports may be requested in person at the East Newark Police Department or via the below Open Public Records Act Request form.
The records room is open Monday through Friday from 8am to 1pm.
