HCIA Fall 2024 Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Days
Posted September 26, 2024Hudson County Improvement Authority (HCIA) is hosting its Fall 2024 HHW Days for safe disposal and recycling of household hazardous waste, electronics, and tires. This is a free event open to all Hudson County residents!
Event Dates and Locations:

Sunday, October 6
- Bayonne: Gregg Park (Parking Lot #1)
- Jersey City: Municipal Complex (13-15 Linden Ave)

Saturday, October 19
- Kearny: DPW (357 Bergen Ave)
- Hoboken: DPW (1500 Jefferson Street)
Time: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM (Rain or Shine)
What to Bring:
- Tires, antifreeze, latex paint, compact fluorescent lightbulbs
- Electronic Waste Recycling: Computers, TVs, printers, tablets, smartphones, monitors, gaming systems, keyboards, etc.
What Not to Bring:
- Alkaline batteries, air conditioners, compressed gas cylinders, over-the-counter or prescription drugs
- Household appliances like washers, dryers, and refrigerators will not be accepted.
